About McKay Manor

McKay Manor is a cozy century-old Newfoundland jelly bean home centrally located in the heart of historic St. John’s on Duckworth Street. Less than a 5 minute stroll to the legendary George Street, restaurants, shops, pubs, and historic sites. This property has been renovated while maintaining its historical charm. It can sleep up to 10 people in five large bedrooms, each with their own private washrooms. There is a shared kitchen area which has a large dinning table and also has a coin operated washer and dryer. Come experience this amazing location!
McKay Manor is proudly owned by Kim & Nick, who are originally from Vancouver, Canada. When we first travelled to St. John’s, we fell in love with the city and have been back many times. The things we love the most about St. John’s are the kind people, live music, amazing hikes, colourful buildings, and world-class breweries. We couldn’t think of a place we would rather share with our guests. We want to do everything we can to make a trip to McKay Manor unbelievable for you. Puffin Room

The Puffin Room is conveniently located on the first floor. It has a private bathroom with a bathtub shower located a few steps down the hallway on the first floor and you will have your own key to this private bathroom. The room has large windows with a view of the harbour, a desk for working, a smart TV with Netflix, and a coffee machine.

Iceberg Room

The Iceberg Room is located on the second floor and has its own private ensuite washroom with a walk-in shower. It has a desk for working, a smart TV with Netflix, and a coffee machine.

Moose Room

The Moose Room and its ensuite bathroom are located on the second floor. The room has large bay windows with a reading nook, a refrigerator and microwave, a desk for working, a smart TV with Netflix and cable, and a coffee machine. The ensuite bathroom has a bathtub shower.

Cod Room

The Cod Room is located on the third floor and has its own private ensuite washroom with a walk-in shower. It has a desk for working, a smart TV with Netflix, and a coffee machine. The Cod Room is our smallest room.

Whale Room

The Whale Room is our largest and nicest room with the best views of St. John’s historic harbour which you enjoy from our comfy chairs. It is located on the third floor with a large ensuite bathroom that has a bathtub shower. The room has a refrigerator, microwave, kettle, coffee machine, a smart TV with Netflix, and a desk for working.
